Tasks

This role’s key focus is ensuring production targets are consistently met safely and efficiently by a motivated and engaged workforce. -Oversee Daily Operations: Manage production to achieve safety, quality, and performance targets. -Manage Costs: Oversee labour and variable overheads, ensuring financial accountability within the production area. -Inspire High Performance: Drive and develop a team of supervisors and production staff and cultivating high engagement built on trust. -Leading Parental Leave & New Parent Perks and Policies. -Champion Safety: Lead a safety-first culture and embed Zero Harm principles. -Drive Efficiency: Monitor production performance, resolve issues promptly, and optimise resource allocation and workload distribution. -Build Capability: Support workforce development through cross-skilling, training, and performance reviews. -Industrial Relations Management: Maintain positive union and employee representative relationships and assist with ER/IR matters.

Requirements

What You Bring

-A tertiary (i.e. Bachelor, or Diploma level) qualification in engineering/supply chain is highly desirable although appropriate direct experience is equally valued. -People engagement and coaching and mentoring capabilities. -Proven leadership experience in a 24-hour manufacturing environment. -Demonstrated understanding of production levers that influence business P/L. -Strong safety focus with a proactive approach and the ability to manage any OH&S issues to resolution. -Understanding of industrial relations frameworks, including interpreting enterprise agreements, managing union relationship and bargaining.
