Enerven provides integrated energy and infrastructure services across Australia.
This role sits within Transmission & Aerial Services, the team responsible for delivering Enerven’s advanced drone capability across high-voltage transmission, renewables, major projects and asset maintenance. The team’s purpose is to provide safer, faster and more accurate inspections and data capture using RPAS technology, supporting how we build and maintain critical energy infrastructure.
The Chief Remote Pilot is the CASA-approved lead for all RPAS operations under Enerven’s ReOC. The role ensures every flight is conducted safely, efficiently and in line with CASA regulations, while guiding and supporting a dispersed group of remote pilots. It maintains operational standards, flight records and airworthiness requirements, and develops the procedures, work methods and approvals needed for specialised operations.
We’re looking for someone who is confident operating in a technical, regulated environment and can bring strong judgement to day-to-day operational decisions. They will be proactive, organised and comfortable leading standards across a dispersed team of remote pilots. Relationship building is important, this role works closely with field crews, inspectors, project teams and external stakeholders including CASA.
The right person will have a steady, safety-first approach, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly. They will be adaptable, curious and open to new technology, as much of our future capability will involve automation, advanced data capture and evolving operating methods. A collaborative mindset is essential, along with the confidence to influence and uphold compliance in a practical, supportive way.
The role is Adelaide based, with relocation assistance offered for the right candidate.
