The Director of Information Security will lead the enterprise security function, overseeing domains such as endpoint, vulnerability, cloud, data protection, application security, GRC, and incident response, while aligning initiatives with business goals and cultivating a culture of cybersecurity awareness.
Reporting to the CIO/CISO, the leader will provide strategic direction, supervise a growing team of security professionals, and develop a multi‑year security roadmap that reflects evolving threat landscapes and business objectives.
Key operational duties include designing secure architectures, managing technical security operations (EDR/XDR, SIEM, DLP, DevSecOps, cloud hardening), implementing comprehensive GRC programs, directing incident response and business continuity, and maintaining security metrics, budgets, and training programs.
Success in the role is measured by strong leadership presence, clear communication across technical and non‑technical audiences, initiative, integrity, continuous improvement, inclusive team culture, discretion with confidential information, and the ability to manage multiple time‑sensitive tasks.
Candidates must have at least 15 years of progressive IT experience (including 6+ years in information security), a bachelor’s degree in a related field, advanced security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CCSP), and proven expertise in building security teams and enterprise security architecture.
The position primarily involves indoor office work with standard equipment, minimal travel (approximately 10%), and requires mobility around the office environment.
Bowman offers a collaborative, forward‑thinking environment with competitive compensation, a comprehensive benefits package—including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) match, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and wellness initiatives—and opportunities for professional growth.
