The coordinator assists with preparing change orders, time extensions, and cost control adjustments, maintaining the change order log and distributing executed documents to field personnel. They support the administration of the quality management plan, promote a safety culture, and participate in risk management activities. Additional duties include developing procurement schedules, integrating them with the CPM schedule, and supporting the project management plan.
The Field Coordinator should have a basic understanding of construction documents, subcontracts, and purchase orders, and support the project team with these functions. They respond to questions about drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and change orders. The role maintains effective and professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Minimum qualifications include 2+ years of construction experience, with MEP experience preferred, and an associate degree or equivalent training. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
The position requires regular use of personal protective equipment and the ability to reach, stoop, kneel, lift, and carry objects. Employees must comply with all safety standards, may occasionally climb ladders or stairs, and will interact frequently with people throughout the shift. This role is classified as safety‑sensitive due to its potential impact on employee and public safety.
