EOD Personnel - Ukraine

Implement the project’s quality control (QC) plan for UXO-related activities in accordance with applicable requirements.

Provide instruction as a member of a training team to teach all theoretical and practical levels of diving equivalent up to and including Diving Supervisor level (essential).
Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.

Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
Training host nation instructors on curriculum delivery to IMAS Standards, and best practice HMA Techniques, to capacity build their national capacity.
Conduct Safety Inspections as required.
Provide technical advice on UXO detection, identification, and clearance operations within an assigned area of responsibility.
Training host nation instructors on delivering Mechanical training curriculum (IMAS Standards) and best practice mechanical clearance Techniques to assist in building their national capacity.
Provide instruction as a member of a training team to teach all theoretical and practical aspects of underwater EOD/IEDD (desirable).
Provide guidance and assistance for HMA Clearance teams in their day-to-day operations.
Provide expertise and oversight in Safe to Move Ordnance Removal, Unsafe Disposal, and Destruction and any PSSM activities.

Ensure monitoring instruments are calibrated before use (if needed).
Identify areas for operational improvement to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and safety.
Act as the alternate emergency coordinator.
Conduct and document inspections of equipment brought on site.
Coordinate with the PSQM, Operations Manager, TOL or other project personnel on any incident investigation.
Ensure proper training, equipping, and rehearsal of HMA Clearance teams and their supporting elements and manage the day-to-day implementation of assigned clearance tasks throughout the AOR / assigned clearance task.

Demonstrable experience of being an instructor within a HMA program / environment.
Should have proven, practical hands-on field and training experience and a thorough understanding of the following disciplines:
Be prepared to deploy for extended durations with HMA Clearance teams to provide mechanical clearance expertise in the field.
Decompression chamber (desirable)
Certificate of completion from an UXO or EOD program or equivalent military certification to the required standards (IMAS Level 3+)
Qualified/Certified power boat operator (desirable).
Certification and demonstratable experience in the following Mechanical assets mechanical demining machines Dok-ing MV-4 & MV-10, GCS-100 & GCS-200, FAE PT-300D-MINE and Bozena 5, JCB 4CX backhoe and JCB JS220 excavator are desirable.

Certificate of completion from an UXO or EOD program or equivalent military certification to IMAS Level 2 / 3 (Desirable).
Military formal training qualification and certificate or civilian equivalent as instructor (desirable).
Demonstrable experience in QMS, HSE Plans, monitoring compliance with SOP’s and reporting against findings, implementing QC procedures, production of AHA’s, accident investigations and the use of various electronic platforms for recording all activities and findings during execution of your duties.
Proven instructional experience (desirable).
Proficient in use of PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
Must have international experience that includes living and working overseas from your normal place of residence and having the motivation to work under arduous conditions.
8-hour Hazwoper certification (desirable).
First Aid trained (desirable).
Military diving qualification (essential).
Desirable to be already trained/have demonstratable experience on the following mechanical demining machines Dok-ing MV-4 & MV-10, GCS-100 & GCS-200, FAE PT-300D-MINE and Bozena 5.
