Perform work in a safe manner by following all written and verbally communicated safety rules and procedures. Follow standard work procedures to operate and maintain assigned machines. Routinely meet or exceed production output rates per standards. Ensure product meets specified tolerances and specifications. Perform routine inspections per quality standards.
Understand production instructions and maintain accurate paperwork. Inspect equipment, structures, and materials to identify problems or defects prior to production, ensuring a clean and safe work environment. Read and follow work orders and formulas to meet production specifications and schedules. Examine materials, ingredients, or product per quality standards and weigh or measure them as required. Add and mix raw materials according to specifications.
Transfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas and discharge blenders of powder when necessary. Ensure quality and conformity of blended products to meet standards. Set up, clean, sanitize, and operate equipment properly before, after, and between runs. Complete cleaning logs and notify quality control for hygiene testing. Record operational and production data on specified forms and production documents.
Report malfunctions to a supervisor and confirm proactive and routine maintenance. Conduct ongoing assessment of quality control and operational procedures. No formal education or prior experience is required for this role.
The Production Operator starts, troubleshoots, and operates manufacturing equipment safely. There are three Production Operator levels (I, II, & III) determined by experience, ability to assume various roles on the plant floor, and demonstrated troubleshooting skill. The operator will run production equipment, including industrial blenders, according to the established production schedule.
Ability to function effectively in a team setting, multitask while maintaining attention to detail, and demonstrate reliability, flexibility, and dependability. Execute ISO authority and responsibilities, complete required training, and report suspected violations. Observe all safety procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use and maintain equipment and materials properly.
Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, climbing, balancing, kneeling, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
