The Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports the Senior Project Manager and/or Project Manager on all project phases, overseeing the Project Engineer in document control, subcontractor coordination, design team communication, project reporting, and representing Consigli throughout the project lifecycle.
- Serve as primary contact for owners, OPMs, and design team members.
- Lead weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors, design teams, and owner representatives to resolve field conflicts.
- Prepare and present cost and change‑management reports to owners and internal stakeholders.
- Assist in developing estimates and bid proposals for lump‑sum and GMP projects.
- Oversee Project Engineer duties, including document control, RFIs, submittals, material delivery tracking, and meeting minutes.
- Mentor, support, and train team members, including Project Engineers.
- Maintain subcontractor relationships and manage submittal and material delivery schedule expectations.
- Verify executed subcontracts and insurance certificates before work begins.
- Collaborate with the Project Scheduler to update and distribute the master schedule with input from the superintendent and project team.
- Support the superintendent in resolving critical issues and RFIs, focusing on quality, cost, and schedule.
- Take ownership of the project closeout process, completing checklists and managing close‑out documentation such as as‑builts, O&Ms, warranties, and test reports.
- Coordinate financial closeout activities with subcontractors and the owner.
- Upload and distribute punch lists via Procore and track completion of outstanding items.
- Conduct field walks, compile observations, and follow up on design team field reports to drive resolutions.
- Perform regular safety walks with field and safety staff, recording observations and ensuring compliance.

Key skills include strong communication, initiative, problem‑solving, multitasking, and teamwork, with excellent written and verbal presentation abilities. The role prefers a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture, 3‑5 years of construction project management experience, OSHA 10/30 certification, and familiarity with cost, scheduling, and construction management software such as Timberline, Sage, Primavera P6, and Procore.
Benefits
The position is a full‑time, salaried (exempt) role with a salary range of $95,000 to $110,000. It is located in the Project Management division and reports to the Project Manager, with supervisory duties over team members.
