The Transmission Lineman B assists the Journeyman Lineman and Foreman, performing work related to construction and maintenance of poles, power lines, auxiliary facilities, and equipment for the Transmission team. This role learns from the Lineman team and collaborates with other department personnel.
The position operates in a field environment that routinely requires extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 lb, standing, and twisting, often in extreme weather conditions. It also demands clear vision at distance, precise hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish colors.
