Conduct field investigations or inspections ranging from visual observations to detailed measurements using specialized equipment.
Utilize electronic tools such as GIS, models, BIM, and CADD for project analysis, study, and design.
Oversee construction projects to ensure they are completed according to the contract. This includes observing construction, reviewing and signing documents, and communicating with MSA staff, contractors, and clients.
Communicates professionally with clients, contractors and builds ongoing business relationships
Assist in creating cost estimates for projects.
Instruct technicians on drafting for the projects you design.
Perform engineering calculations for the analysis, study, and design of specific project aspects.

Four years of relevant, post-graduate mechanical engineering experience

Proficiency with digital tools, which may include Microsoft Office, GIS, BIM, and/or CADD
Knowledge of the philosophies, principals, practices, and techniques of engineering
Professional Engineering License in IA with WI, IL, and MN preferred
Creative problem-solving skills to solve new and challenging problems
Ability to mentor less experienced staff
Advanced interpersonal skills for facilitating relationships with colleagues
