The position strengthens the Automotive & Industry business unit by delivering on‑site technical support, on‑the‑job training and application expertise to existing customers while identifying new business opportunities. It works closely with the sales team to enhance customer engagement through process improvement, quality upgrades and cost optimisation.
The role involves planning and executing product trials, troubleshooting applications, preparing technical documentation, and conducting process audits to ensure customer satisfaction. It also requires delivering technical presentations, developing application guidelines, and monitoring test and validation activities for both internal and external projects.
Candidates should hold a BE/B.Tech in Chemical, Polymer or Materials Engineering or an M.Sc. in Chemistry/Polymer Science and have 2–5 years of experience in technical service or application engineering within the specialty chemicals, polymers, elastomers, adhesives or sealants markets. Experience in the adhesives and sealants industry is preferred.
Key internal partners include the Technical Service Manager, sales and business development engineers, and the Technical Service Lab team, while external interactions focus on customers to add value, solve problems and drive new projects. The role demands a customer‑centric, proactive, results‑oriented attitude, strong communication skills, willingness to travel up to 70 % of the time, and is offered as a permanent position in the APAC region.
