The Role

Overview

Lead drone and GNSS field surveys for mining projects, ensuring data accuracy and safety.

Tasks

-Drive innovation in field survey practices by integrating new technologies and methodologies, enhancing operational efficiency and data accuracy. -Ensuring personnel are adequately trained to complete work requirements -Process raw aerial imagery and point clouds into accurate 3D models and maps using photogrammetry and GIS tools to support Exploration, Res Dev, Environmental, Hydro & Legacy documentation requirements. -Utilise GNSS tools, including Trimble systems, for precise demarcation of land boundaries, heritage sites, LAP boundaries and environmentally sensitive areas that we operate near. -Ensuring standard work procedures and safe systems of work are understood, and if not, rectify and fix in field and/or provide appropriate follow up actions -Attend safety/toolbox meetings and communicate expectations with a focus on continued improvement of the Health and Safety Management system and addressing concerns. -Taking a proactive risk management approach to departmental tasks. -Coordinate and execute drone-based aerial surveys, including RTK setup, flight planning, and data acquisition for Exploration, Res Dev, Environmental, Hydro & Legacy projects. -Ensure accurate data entry, mapping, and reporting for ground disturbance and survey results, maintaining high standards of quality and reliability in technical documentation. -Supporting the Safety Management System ensuring a safety-first work culture

What You Bring

-Ability to communicate effectively and constructively with senior business leaders and other technical stakeholders. -Experience in mining / drilling / resources sector, specialising with drone-based aerial surveys. -Current WA drivers licence and Senior First Aid -Experience managing competing priorities in a fast paced environment, including conflict resolution -Demonstrated ability to work within large multi-disciplinary teams and strong stakeholder engagement ability. -Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) is required
