  • Planning/Organizing - Prioritizes and plans work activities; Uses time efficiently; Plans for additional resources; Sets goals and objectives; Organizes or schedules other people and their tasks; Develops realistic action plans.
  • Carry out risk assessments/Take II as required.
  • Perform routine equipment / consumable function tests to ensure everything is in good working order. Any issues must be reported directly to supervision.
  • Undertake specific projects as instructed by management
  • Produce a clear and concise report detailing the methods used in and results of the inspection and all finding noting any limitations / test restrictions is applicable.
  • Travel in region and on/offshore via bus, taxi, helicopter, airplane, boat
  • NDT Technician Inspection using Ultrasonics, Radiography, Magnetic Particle, Liquid/ Dye Penetrant and Eddy Current Techniques. (Daily Routine)
  • Use rope access, under the close supervision of a qualified IRATA level 3, to access work areas deemed as working at height. (When required)
  • Ensure inspection is carried out within the parameters of the applicable specification.
  • Carry out work in accordance with Oceaneering operating procedures and statutory/client specifications and requirements
  • Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs work flows and procedures.
  • Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Applies feedback to improve performance; Monitors own work to ensure quality.
  • Ensure that work area is safe to carry out NDT activities.
  • Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems
  • Carry out work in a timely and efficient manner in order to meet deadlines, changing priorities when the situation requires
  • Carry UT inspection techniques to components requiring inspection.
  • Organizational Support - Follows policies and procedures; Completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports organization's goals and values; Benefits organization through outside activities; Supports affirmative action and respects diversity.
  • Reports to the site supervisor/ superintendent, ensuring the safe, efficient and profitable day-to-day NDT inspection job for our clients.

  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) (E)
  • Third Party ASNT certificate holders will be required to undergo Oceaneering Certification, and successful completion is a mandatory requirement to acquire this position.
  • PCN or CSWIP certificates are preferred to third party ASNT certificates.
  • Work surface is unstable, work positioning and work restraint required using Rope Access
  • PCN/ CSWIP/ ASNT - UT – Level 2 – Ultrasonic Testing (E)
  • PCN/ CSWIP/ ASNT - ET – Level 2 – Eddy Current Testing (P)
  • Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
  • Willingness to travel international
  • PCN/ CSWIP/ ASNT - PT – Level 2 – Dye/ Liquid Penetrant Testing (P)
  • Be proficient in Word, Excel and Windows based programs (E)
  • Excellent organisation and interpersonal skills. (P)
  • PCN/ CSWIP/ ASNT - RT – Level 2 – Radiographic Testing (E)
  • PCN/ CSWIP/ ASNT - MT – Level 2 – Magnetic Particle Testing (P)
  • Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.
  • Minimum 3 years in-service inspection experience within the oil and gas industry.
  • Flexible approach and ability to generate a team approach to problem solving (E)
  • Degree in Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Offshore medical, annual eye test, BOSIET & MIST certification and Cat EBS, Bi-Deltoid Measurement (P)
