Unlike operational contract management roles, this position focuses on the front-end commercial and contractual setup; providing advice, shaping terms, and ensuring the company’s commercial position is protected and optimised from the outset.

We’re recruiting a Commercial Manager (Contracts Specialist) to join the commercial and contract management team of a leading organisation in the energy and infrastructure sector. This position plays a strategic role in the creation, negotiation, and development of new frameworks and project contracts, supporting major renewable and infrastructure delivery programmes across the UK.

  • Supporting bid and tender processes by reviewing contract terms and identifying potential risks and opportunities
  • Providing commercial and contractual advice to internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with company strategy, risk appetite, and compliance requirements
  • Advising senior stakeholders on contractual structures, risk management, and change control mechanisms
  • Leading on the drafting, negotiation, and development of new contracts and framework agreements for upcoming energy and infrastructure projects
  • Staying informed on market trends, legislation, and best practice in contract development across the energy and infrastructure sectors
  • Collaborating with project, procurement, finance, and legal teams to deliver robust and compliant contract documentation

  • Excellent knowledge of commercial terms, risk allocation, and contract law principles
  • Detail-focused, analytical, and confident working across multiple concurrent projects
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders
