• Create civil design plans for, road and hydraulic design projects
• Model road designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Building Information Modeling (BIM)
• Meet deadlines and cost targets
• Maintain required project documentation
• Ensure AASHTO codes, INDOT design manual requirements, and design standards are followed

Requirements

Janssen & Spaans Engineering (JSE) is looking for a Road Design Project Engineer to join our team! This role provides engineering excellence, plans, identifies, prioritizes, tracks and monitors tasks and sequences in the process to produce the desired outcome. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Civil Engineering and a concentration in Transportation. Experience in civil design for roadway projects is required. Roadway projects include but are not limited to: Interstates, Highways, Freeways, Urban Streets, Intersections including Roundabouts, and Interchange Layout.

• Considerable listening and communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Civil 3D
• Design Build, P3 knowledge
• FE/EIT Preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• 3+ years’ roadway design
• Adequate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Efficient analysis and critical thinking skills
• P.E license optional
