ATE Engineer

Description

• Lead, mentor, and allocate tasks for engineers and technicians to achieve production goals.
• Supervise ATE operations on the production line and ensure readiness for quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electromechanical and system‑level issues.
• Monitor and optimize equipment performance during production ramp‑up.
• Analyze production data to drive yield and efficiency improvements.
• Implement strategic initiatives in line with R&D and corporate objectives.
• Provide technical support to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Recommend design modifications and repair strategies for electronic systems.
• Deliver training on DOC‑TP, schematics, ATS, and ATPs.
• Support system designers and users in equipment and process understanding.
• Build and maintain a local knowledge center for troubleshooting and continuous learning.

Requirements

The ATE Engineer role is based in Austin, TX, at the Flex TX site and focuses on overseeing production‑line testing operations. This hands‑on position requires expertise in electronic testing systems, production troubleshooting, and collaborative team leadership to ensure high quality, operational efficiency, and alignment with global ATE strategies.

• 2–3 years of production‑line experience with electronic testing systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Hardware Engineering or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret electromechanical schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for electromechanical systems.
• Proficiency with electronics lab equipment and testing platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership in cross‑functional teams.
• Adaptable, proactive problem‑solver with deep ATE technical knowledge.
