The Associate Project Controls Consultant will manage and deliver project and programme controls, addressing actual and forecast costs to capture business and project status. This role operates within AECOM’s Integrated Programme Controls team and applies PMO best practices on infrastructure projects and programmes.
- Manage project and programme controls, tracking actual and forecast costs.
- Utilize AECOM cornerstone systems to represent cost data and maintain project baselines.
- Analyze financial data to identify key issues and prepare revised cost forecasts.
- Conduct earned value monitoring and performance measurement, including cost trending.
- Evaluate manpower, labour hours, and costs versus budget, preparing variance analyses.
- Review and align subcontractor funding with work authorizations and expenditures.
- Assist in scope control, change management, and maintain change order status tracking.
- Create and maintain cost/schedule baseline budgets and assist with critical path analysis.
- Lead or participate in project cost review meetings and prepare project reporting.
- Mentor junior staff on assignment tasks and contribute to procedure development.

- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent project controls qualification (e.g., APMG, Prince2, APM).
- Possess proven experience in cost control or planning & scheduling on multi‑discipline infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrate expertise in Earned Value Management implementation and related standards.
- Show proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, PowerBI, and other planning tools.
- Understand financial terminology, accounting principles, and project finance.
- Be flexible to travel and work across different sectors with strong people‑management and facilitation skills.
