Civil Manager

Description

You will report to the International Operating Group and collaborate across the Water business line.

• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for civil engineering projects.
• Monitor progress and ensure milestones are met on time.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
• Lead and manage engineering teams, assigning tasks and providing guidance.
• Conduct regular team meetings to review progress and address challenges.
• Ensure construction activities meet quality standards and specifications.
• Perform site inspections and audits for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Resolve construction defects or delays promptly.
• Manage project budgets, control costs, and avoid overruns.
• Optimize resource allocation of manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Prepare and review cost estimates, invoices, and financial reports.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and consultants.
• Provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Address client concerns to ensure satisfaction.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Handle unforeseen challenges and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 8–10 years of civil engineering experience, with 3–5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record managing large‑scale infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Primavera or MS Project.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, BIM, and other design software.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset for identifying and resolving project challenges.
• Decision‑making ability under pressure.
• Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
