Field Environmental Coordinator - Western Canada District
Kiewit

Oversee environmental compliance, monitoring, and reporting on construction projects.
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
Maintaining project data tracking requirements
Interpret and apply environmental specifications and drawings avoiding and minimizing adverse effects to the natural environment and local communities.
Develop and conduct environmental protection and awareness training to staff at all levels
Prepare project and Kiewit required reports and communication of environmental risks to project management
Perform and oversee field inspections and monitoring (water quality, underwater noise etc.)
Attend field visits with Client and regulatory agencies
Update environmental plans
Lead environmental compliance for a project
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
Monitor, forecast and communicate environmental costs at the project level
Liaise with the client providing them design information, schedule details, quantities etc. ensuring they are aware of any unanticipated discoveries, critical permitting and compliance issues.
Identify, assess and reduce environmental risks to the company
Identify wetland and sensitive environmental areas for protection and fencing in advance of construction activities.
Coordinate with relevant crews on their work locations, material needs, quantities and invoices
Function as a principal technical advisor and coordinator for environmental issues

4 + years of experience in environmental compliance for large construction projects (ideally infrastructure)
Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
