The Associate Site Reliability Engineer ensures high availability and minimal disruption for business‑critical systems by proactively managing health through monitoring, automation and rapid issue resolution. You will standardise observability, streamline deployments, and champion a configuration‑as‑code approach while collaborating with the SRE Lead and Technology Feature Teams. In return, AGL provides a culture of intellectual honesty, continuous learning and the tools needed for success.
- Automate routine tasks and apply core SRE practices to reduce operational toil.
- Investigate incidents and work orders, providing daily support to internal customers.
- Document major incident investigations and contribute to post‑incident reviews.
- Build and refine SLIs, SLOs, dashboards and alerts to lower mean time to recovery.
- Implement automated remediation to prevent repeat failures and boost reliability.
- Conduct disaster recovery exercises to ensure confident response to major outages.
- Support continuous delivery pipelines and participate in an on‑call roster with time‑in‑lie compensation.
- Participate in wellbeing programs with Medibank, Fitness Passport and on‑site health services.

- Hold a tertiary qualification in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent knowledge.
- Demonstrate understanding of Azure cloud services and interest in DevOps/CI‑CD practices.
- Possess experience with monitoring tools or a willingness to learn observability techniques.
- Have foundational knowledge of Infrastructure‑as‑Code, preferably using Terraform.
