The Server is responsible for creating a pleasant dining experience by taking orders, assisting with menu selections, serving meals courteously, and ensuring residents are greeted, seated, and comfortable. The role also involves maintaining a clean dining area, tracking attendance, supporting marketing efforts through professional presentation, and cooperating with kitchen staff to deliver high‑quality service.
- Execute signature programs in dining, fitness, wellness, and care
- Take written food orders and serve meals professionally
- Assist residents with menu selections
- Review residents' dietary needs
- Greet and seat residents, integrating new members
- Maintain a clean, sanitary dining area and follow food handling policies
- Aid community marketing through professional appearance and behavior
- Serve, clean, and reset tables; return dishes to kitchen
- Clean and set up dining areas, stock condiments, and restock supplies
- Cooperate with kitchen and dining services for positive experiences
- Report safety or equipment issues to supervisor
- Assist with breaking down deliveries, stocking, and dishwashing as needed
- Deliver meals to resident rooms and collect trays
- Meet and maintain all state‑specific regulatory requirements
- Stand for long periods, bend, kneel, stoop, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions
- Move intermittently throughout the workday and community
- Lift or carry 40+ lbs., push and pull carts as necessary

Candidates should have exposure to restaurant operations or a willingness to learn, be at least 18 years old with proper work authorization, and pass background and health screenings. Strong communication skills, basic counting ability, and proficiency with standard serving equipment are required, along with a commitment to resource mindfulness and compliance with state regulations.
The position demands physical stamina, including standing for long periods, bending, kneeling, and repetitive motion, as well as the ability to lift or carry 40+ pounds and push or pull carts. Employees must be mobile and able to move throughout the community throughout the workday.
