The Business Partner III assigned to the Development Business Unit acts as a strategic interface between IT and business stakeholders. This role is critical in understanding the unique operational, analytical, and digital needs of the Development team and ensuring technology solutions align with business goals. The Business Partner III will drive innovation, identify and prioritize initiatives, and serve as the voice of the business within IT.
In the strategic partnership capacity, the Business Partner III serves as the primary liaison between the Development Business Unit and IT. It engages senior business leaders to understand strategic goals, priorities, and pain points, and translates business needs into actionable technology strategies and roadmaps.
For technology planning and delivery, the Business Partner III partners with solution architects, platform owners, and vendors to scope, design, and deliver effective solutions. It oversees the execution of development‑centric IT initiatives, including GIS, permitting tools, site prospecting platforms, and project lifecycle systems, ensuring timely delivery and high adoption within the business unit.
The role leads change management activities such as communication, training, and stakeholder engagement. It champions digital transformation and promotes the effective use of tools like GIS, CRM, and document management systems, while monitoring technology adoption and driving continuous improvement based on feedback.
Innovation and continuous improvement are core responsibilities. The Business Partner III identifies opportunities to automate manual processes, enhance data accessibility, and improve workflows, collaborates with Data & Analytics teams to surface insights that inform development strategy, and stays current with industry trends and best practices in renewable energy development and technology.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, and 4+ years of experience in IT, business analysis, or consulting roles, with at least 3 years in a business partner or client‑facing capacity. Candidates must have a strong understanding of renewable energy project development, proven ability to manage cross‑functional projects, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Preferred qualifications are an MBA or MS in a related discipline and experience with platforms such as Salesforce, ESRI ArcGIS, SharePoint, and project management tools.
Compensation includes a base pay range of $85,000‑$105,000 USD plus an annual bonus of 20%‑30%, with offers based on scope, responsibilities, experience, education, and skills. The total compensation package may also include eligibility for bonus programs, medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits.
