This position reports to the Regional Asia Sales Manager. In this role you will shape and execute an effective sales strategy for ABB’s Instrumentation portfolio in the New Zealand market, strengthening our presence and supporting growth ambitions. You will define, plan and lead daily delivery of the strategy, ensuring strong performance against qualitative and quantitative targets for products, systems and services. Your work will directly contribute to sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, sales productivity and customer satisfaction. You will also guide, develop and coach the sales team to drive high performance and consistently achieve sales targets.
You are highly skilled with instrumentation and measurement technologies and comfortable using modern sales tools in the industrial and process automation market. You bring extensive experience in industrial automation/instrumentation sales, strong commercial capability and customer engagement, preferably with NZ process‑industries exposure. You are adept at CRM platforms, sales analytics, SAP and digital collaboration systems to drive performance. You hold an engineering degree (Instrumentation/Electrical/Electronics) or equivalent and can communicate effectively in English across diverse stakeholder groups. You are willing to travel across New Zealand, enjoy cold‑calling and have a hunting attitude for lead generation and order closure.
