Description

The role involves preparing cost plans across design stages, supporting value-engineering, managing procurement processes, and overseeing cost control and change management activities.

• Prepare cost plans for concept, schematic, and design development stages.
• Analyse unit rates, price BOQ items, and support value engineering exercises.
• Collect market quotations and assist in tender estimates and cost plan reporting.
• Prepare pre-qualification (PQ) documentation, maintain tender schedules, manage tender events, issue documentation, evaluate tenders, and draft tender reports.
• Work with standard contracts such as FIDIC and CPWD and assist in compiling final contract documents.
• Prepare interim payment recommendations, maintain cost-control documentation, and manage change control processes.
• Contribute to cost reporting, cash-flow forecasting, valuation of variations, tracking of risk allowances, and preparation of final accounts.
• Apply knowledge of construction technologies and methods to assess cost implications of materials, labour, and construction methods during design and execution.

Requirements

The position requires a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in cost planning and procurement within the construction sector.

Proficiency with construction estimation software and strong MS Office skills, together with adaptability to customized tools, are essential for success.

• Proficient in CAD, Cost-X (quantity take-off tools), and other estimation software.
• Strong skills in MS Excel and Word with the ability to learn and adapt to customized software.
