The Construction Inspector 2 works independently on less complex construction activities and assists experienced inspectors on more complex roadway and bridge projects. The position requires detailed documentation, effective communication, problem resolution, adherence to safety standards, and maintaining required certifications.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting construction progress, inspections, and testing results.
- Record daily forms, maintain field quantities, and conduct required field tests to verify contractor compliance.
- Submit accurate timesheets, mileage, and expense reports weekly.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, staff, and supervisors, resolving issues at the lowest level.
- Perform field construction inspections on commercial, municipal, institutional, highway and bridge projects, ensuring safety and compliance with OSHA standards and client requirements.
- Review job‑site safety daily and take immediate action to document and resolve hazards.
