  • Contributing to a team environment by cross training and filling in for other operators as needed performing general housekeeping duties to aid in keeping machinery functioning properly, to reduce hazards, and maintain the appearance of the plant

Physical Demands:This person is expected to perform work in the manufacturing floor/environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. This is a full-time position. This position occasionally requires long hours and occasional weekend work.

Travel: This role does not require to travel from other Woodgrain locations.

Woodgrain is a drug, alcohol, and tobacco-free workplace. All offers of employment are contingent upon pre-employment background and drug screening, and some positions require a fitness for duty test.

The Dubois Machine Operator will be trained to operate machinery in the Doors department painting interior doors in order to meet customer specifications and established quality standards.

  • Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment
  • A minimum of two (2) or more years of work experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Ability to follow procedures for Quality Process Checks
  • The ability to read and comprehend written instructions as required to complete assigned tasks
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment, e.g. safety glasses, hearing protection, and other PPE as required by specific jobs
  • Ability to complete work with an understanding of larger objectives in mind.
  • A minimum of one (1) year safely operating machinery or industrial equipment
  • High level attention to detail.
  • Operates Dubois machine within the Door Line
  • The ability to successfully use a computer without assistance to complete assigned tasks
  • Ability to solve problems using critical thinking.
  • Ability to work well and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Proper PPE Usage while performing all job duties.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
