The role requires leading the TBM shift crew to achieve safety, quality and production targets while fostering a Zero‑Harm mindset. Daily shift work is planned and briefed with engineers and the superintendent, and labour, plant and subcontractors are allocated to optimise each shift. The incumbent monitors TBM operations, quickly resolves any issues, maintains accurate dockets, diaries, timesheets and shift reports, and supports continuous improvement in methods, housekeeping and cost control.
Candidates must have prior experience in a similar capacity, with segmental tunnel and slurry experience preferred, and be able to work various rosters. They should demonstrate a proven ability to operate in a dynamic environment and meet significant program challenges, as well as experience in safety, community and environmental management. Strong leadership and team‑management skills are essential for driving performance and guiding teams.
