The Knowledge and Information Management (KIM) team, based in the UK and India, builds a technical knowledge base that enables engineers to access the information they need. The role focuses on developing processes for copyright compliance, ensuring discoverability of standards, and managing access to technical resources.
Key duties include designing curation processes, drafting internal guidelines, educating engineers on copyright‑free submissions, checking documents for confidential data, training the KIM team, and promoting awareness of engineering subscription resources, including integration with internal AI tools and delivery of training.
Collaboration with the library team involves managing online subscriptions, negotiating with publishers, handling user queries, and staying up‑to‑date with industry standards, codes and external technical content relevant to engineering.
Essential qualifications are at least eight years of library or subscription management experience, strong corporate copyright knowledge, policy development skills, and a master’s degree in a related field. Desirable skills include familiarity with engineering publishers, contract review ability, and experience administering SharePoint.
