SENIOR SUPERINTENDENT

Description

• Helps with programs external to the business to help promote CDCC and our industry
• Resolving Conflict
• Works in conjunction with other team members during project pursuits as required to evaluate a project and develop a plan for its successful completion.
• Addresses all issues with a Can Do, solution-oriented attitude
• Participates in plan flips to establish scopes of work, subcontractor participation and developing an overall project schedule.

• Is aware of the overall project budget and assists project team in managing the entire budget.
• Performs or assists, as assigned, with all project start up items from the Project Start-up Checklist
• Assists project team in the development of RFIs required to perform the work
• Promotes professional behavior
• Takes full ownership of personal career development through on-the-job training, CDCC Way training programs and assists in the development of interns / co-ops
• Assists to make sure there is a plan to Close-out a project and that the field portion is executed.
• Reacts appropriately and timely to schedule challenges and slippage including a work around plan, potential supplementation or resequencing of the work so to maintain a projects schedule.
• Helps evaluate the effects of project change directives on the schedule
• Plays a proactive role in CDCC with training of others.
• The majority of work completed on job sites. Due to daily condition changes on construction projects, they must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required by the company's safety policies and as required for weather conditions.
• May be called upon to attend and participate in meetings with Architect/Engineer and owner representatives, provides information and assists the project team in the preparation of progress reports/meeting minutes
• Performs the review and coordination of the Loss Prevention and Quality Control Program
• Builds effective relationships with customers, design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds expectations
• Full responsibility to develop and maintain a project schedule including periodic updates to status the project.
• Overall responsibility for project Safety and Quality Control
• Performs cost coding to comply with the project budget of items purchased or labor performed.
• Organizes people, tools, and equipment and plan/manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results
• Coordinates with others in CDCC to ensure all clarifications, changes, directives, RFIs, etc., are updated on the as-built drawings and are fully coordinated with company supervision and all subcontractor/suppliers
• Makes decisions under tight deadlines, sometimes with incomplete information
• Helps with the development of General Conditions for the project
• Participates externally in community events and activities that promote CDCC.

Requirements

• Experienced level position with up to 8 years of Superintendent experience preferred.
• Has demonstrated superior capabilities in the role of Superintendent on complex larger projects.
• Accepts Supervision and Constructive Criticism
• Fully capable of interpreting all contract documents and understanding the scope of work involved.
• Fully aware and manages the items that CDCC Self Performs to successful completion within the Budget.
• Has demonstrated the ability to lead other Superintendents or field staff.
