Lead and/or support the development of engineering work processes, standards, and quality procedures.
Support projects in meeting budget, schedule and technical quality with appropriate resources.
Provide guidance to BC Leadership on training requirements for technical groups.
Collaborate with the Business Center Operations Leader to attract, engage and retain top talent, support career development succession planning, coaching, diversity and leadership development.
Participate in BC leadership team planning and goal setting.
Assist in the coordination of technical audits and monitor, verify, and report on team performance.
Oversee hiring, performance reviews, compensation decisions, and administrative functions of your team.
Support the BCOL in meeting established targets such as net revenue, gross margin, overhead, and operating income.
Proactively identify opportunities to reinforce and develop Stantec’s highperformance culture focused on talent, innovation, productivity, excellence, and business performance.
Monitor client satisfaction and implement improvements as needed.
Advise BC Leadership and other teams on engineering standards and work practices.
Build and develop technical delivery teams across the business center, Integrated Design team, Global Design Center, and across the Energy and Resources business line to ensure we have the right people involved to make projects successful.
Work with client technical representatives and quality control teams to ensure that engineering and design services meet expectations.
Maintain project utilization target ranges from 20% to 30%.
Inspire, motivate, and hold the team accountable for the delivery of innovative design solutions.
Lead or assign responsibility for technical project delivery, QAQC, discipline excellence, subject matter expertise, standardization, and best practices.
Participate in the Go/No Go review process, contribute to win strategies and successful project execution through handson involvement in key pursuits, client management and project management.
Build strong partnerships with business leaders in other business centers and business operating units to foster collaboration, grow new expertise, increase work share opportunities, and drive growth.
Foster employee engagement through regular communication and BCwide meetings.
Collaborate with business development teams to drive growth of the Energy and Resources business line by supporting business development activities, key pursuits, and MB&D strategy.
Represent the BC at industry and community events, meetings, and conferences.

Active P. Eng. or P.L.Eng registration with EGBC / APEGA or other suitable jurisdiction.
Collaboration & Communication: Highly collaborative across Integrated Design, Global Delivery Center, and E&R. Excellent communication, coordination, and teambuilding skills.
Business Development: Strong sellerdoer with entrepreneurial mindset and deep understanding of consulting services. Skilled in responding to RFPs, EOIs, and SOQs.
Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field.
Leadership & Management: Proven leadership in delivering project excellence, managing large professional teams, and overseeing operational, financial, and people aspects.
Market Knowledge: Familiarity with market assessment techniques and industry insights. Experience across multiple service offerings and sectors is an asset.
Client Engagement: Demonstrated ability to build longterm client relationships and deliver sustained value. Skilled negotiator in complex situations.
Minimum 10 years of experience within the Energy & Resources industry, preferably within Power Delivery.
Strategic Thinking: Strong organizational and strategic planning skills with the ability to articulate vision and engage teams.
