The Indirect Category Management role sits within a sub‑category team and is responsible for creating and developing an industry‑leading professional services category strategy for assigned sub‑categories. It will manage a $300 M+ spend portfolio, driving value creation and performance across procurement, sourcing, supplier relationship management, and digital technology.
- Create strategy for sub‑categories and generate pipeline so at least one‑third of spend is sent to market
- Establish sourcing goals and acceptable service levels
- Negotiate and administer contracts with suppliers and vendors
- Conduct market research to ensure price competitiveness
- Perform spend profiling and analytics
- Set negotiation terms for procurement of goods, services, and supplies
- Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and related data to determine reasonable prices
- Evaluate vendors’ capability, quality, reliability, and price competitiveness
- Identify and research suppliers to meet standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability
