Description
Engineering teams maintain and improve equipment and assets to ensure continual availability for operations, supported by a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) that provides real‑time, accurate data. We are transitioning from Mainsaver to SAP and are seeking a Master Data Specialist on a fixed‑term contract to support this change.
In this role you will collaborate closely with engineering teams and the Asset Information Working Group to uphold ABP’s engineering data‑governance practices and help standardise information as multiple regional databases are consolidated into a single EAM system, improving data quality and reducing re‑work in maintenance planning.
- Create, update and maintain engineering master data records in the EAM system, including asset registers, hierarchies, maintenance plans and spare parts inventory.
- Implement data quality controls and cleansing processes to keep engineering data accurate, consistent and reliable.
- Serve as a data expert in the EAM implementation, migrate legacy data, verify quality and resolve gaps before go‑live.
- Develop and use data‑cleansing tools or templates, and support post‑go‑live data tasks for engineering teams.
- Monitor data quality via dashboards and reports, tracking completeness, accuracy, consistency and timeliness.
- Report on master‑data status, metrics and risks, highlighting issues such as duplicate records or drops in accuracy.

- Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Data‑governance mindset to embed and maintain engineering data.
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerBI and SQL, using advanced functions to manipulate data.
- Experience in asset data management and maintenance in an asset‑intensive industry.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build cooperative working relationships.
- Proven track record of managing asset data within an accredited management system (ideal).
- Experience with assets in a CMMS or ERP system such as SAP (ideal).
