Key duties involve conducting field investigations, developing design calculations and reports, producing construction plans and permit documents, estimating quantities, and verifying analytical data to ensure accuracy of technical deliverables.
The transportation infrastructure team is seeking an intermediate hydraulic engineer for the Montreal or Québec City office. In this role you will lead hydrological and hydraulic studies for transportation projects and perform engineering and design tasks for municipal roads, drainage systems, and utilities, while also supervising construction and preparing inspection reports.
Ideal candidates are engineers who are active members of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, have more than five years of experience in municipal water, sanitation, and storm‑water services, understand Quebec Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility standards, and possess strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Proficiency in civil and drainage design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation V8i, InRoads, StormCAD, EPA‑SWMM, ArcGIS, HEC‑RAS, PCSWMM, WaterCAD/EPANET, and fluency in both English and French are required. French is mandatory for permanent positions in Québec, with language training offered if needed; English is also required for communication with external partners.
