Passive Fire Protection - Fire Stopper

Description

• Ensure all work is completed to 3rd-party accreditation standards
• Communicating clearly with Contract Managers, site contacts and clients
• Maintain accurate digital records for full audit traceability
• Installing fire-stopping systems, including:
• Completing installations in accordance with manufacturer specifications and 3rd-party accreditation requirements
• Report hazards, concerns or non-compliance immediately
• Follow all Mitie H&S policies and manufacturer guidelines
• Travelling nationally to various sites, including overnight stays when required
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Recording all works accurately using digital reporting systems
• Taking before/after photographs and completing compliance evidence

Requirements

• Reliable, professional and able to work independently
• Full PPE, uniform, tools and digital equipment
• Are you comfortable travelling nationally and working away from home?
• Strong knowledge of compartmentation and fire protection methods
• Are you confident using mobile apps/tablets for evidence capture?
• Experience installing fire-stopping or passive fire systems
• Are you confident installing a range of passive fire protection systems?
• Intumescent wraps, collars and sealants
• Fire compounds and putty pads
• Ideally FIRAS accredited (or working towards)
• Willingness to travel and stay away when required
• Understanding of H&S requirements and safe working methods
• Do you have experience working to strict compliance and safety standards?
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Good communication skills and strong attention to detail
