Responsible for answering Sales and Customer quality concerns.
Ensures that staffing requirements are met for the department, including hiring, employee training and development and goal setting. This includes providing feedback where appropriate.
Responsible for the optimal performance of the Extrusion Department. This includes monitoring productivity in lbs. / shift, Department manning and labor costs, recovery and scrap reduction, extrusion run failures, performance and maintenance of production equipment, staff and production performance, press KPI’s results to achieve business plan.
Perform and audit the necessary quality tests to ensure product conformance and a quality focused work environment.
Develop and sponsor experiments to support continuous improvement.
Ensure Customer satisfaction with defect free products and on time deliver time based on production scheduling and demand needs.
Oversees the planning and scheduling of department personnel to meet production requirements.

Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate on all levels. Demonstrated ability to work with a team and independently with all levels of workforce.
Robust working knowledge of Extrusion Press and Die Practices.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Extrusion experience, effective analytical skills, professionalism and organizational skills required.
Minimum 10+ years of leadership work experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent required.
Able to lead and promote a team environment.
