The employee operates a manual bending machine to produce tubing that conforms to customer specifications. Parts are inspected against CAD plots or fixtures, and minor program adjustments may be required.
Preferred education is a high school diploma or equivalent, with demonstrated mechanical aptitude. Candidates must be able to read and write simple instructions, perform basic arithmetic, and present information clearly in one‑on‑one or small‑group settings. Reasoning ability to follow written or oral directions and solve problems with a few variables is required, and the role carries no supervisory responsibilities.
The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, occasional wet or humid conditions, and work at high, precarious locations. Employees may encounter outdoor weather, risk of electrical shock, vibration, and a generally very loud noise level.
Physical demands involve frequently lifting or moving up to 50 lb, and occasionally up to 100 lb, while standing, using hands, reaching, and communicating. The job requires good close, distance, peripheral and depth vision, as well as climbing, balancing, and occasional walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
The position bends metal tubing according to specifications for hydraulic, exhaust, intake, and coolant installations. Pay is commensurate with experience and includes a $1.50 per hour second‑shift premium. Work hours are Monday‑Friday, 2 pm‑10 pm, with current overtime available during the week and occasional Saturdays and Sundays. New hires receive a $1,000 sign‑on bonus, PTO from day one and benefits after 30 days.
