stakeholder relations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (Markets, Origination, Engineering, Legal, Finance) to align commercial, technical, and regulatory elements into bankable packages.
  • Propose new structures and repeatable capital solutions to scale DER deployment.
  • Develop valuation analyses (DCF, comparables, precedent transactions, LBO-style cases where relevant); run Monte Carlo/scenario/sensitivity to support risk/return decisions.
  • Convert market rules (IESO, NYISO, PJM, MISO and AESO) into cash-flow logic and bankability tests.
  • Identify and map investor universes (infrastructure funds, strategics, pension funds, banks, tax equity where applicable) and support outreach pipelines.
  • Run full transaction processes (financing and M&A) from mandate/business case through IC memo, term sheet, due diligence, documentation, and closing.
  • Build and maintain data rooms, diligence trackers, and Q&A logs; coordinate internal and external advisors.
  • Support complex deal structuring (Investment Tax Credits, SPVs, holdcos, project/on-balance-sheet financing, revenue hedges, tolling/offtake structures, capacity/RA contracts, shared savings/availability constructs).
  • Develop trusted relationships with clients, investors, lenders, advisors, counterparties, and internal stakeholders.
  • Build CIMs, teaser decks, track records, one-pagers, and investment committee materials; coordinate NDAs/teasers and shepherd investors through diligence to commitments.
  • Investor-facing fluency: identifying the right buyers/lenders, managing pipelines, and converting interest to binding commitments.
  • Own project finance models and portfolio models for DER assets (battery storage, solar, CHP, microgrids, DR portfolios), including revenue stacking (energy/capacity/ancillary), curtailment, degradation, merchant vs. contracted scenarios, and capital structure optimization.
  • Track market pricing, policy changes, and incentives across IESO/PJM/NYISO/MISO/AESO; synthesize implications for underwriting and portfolio allocation.
  • 2-4 completed transactions (financing or M&A) or binding term sheets on priority projects/portfolios.
