On-Site Project Engineer 2 - Lake Charles, LA

Description

The successful candidate will provide onsite services for project closeout, utilizing the client’s Management of Change (MOC) processes and procedures. Responsibilities include ensuring MOC compliance, developing early documentation, processing required paperwork throughout the project lifecycle, obtaining stakeholder approvals, and closing MOCs at project completion while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Ensure compliance with the client’s MOC protocol.
• Develop early MOC documentation.
• Process necessary documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Obtain signatures and approvals from stakeholders as required.
• Manage multiple MOCs across different project phases simultaneously.
• Perform field assessments, including climbing stairs and ladders.

Requirements

The role may require field trips to operating plants or construction sites, demanding normal hearing, vision, the ability to stand, walk, climb, and lift up to 25 lb. All candidates must pass background checks, drug screening, obtain TWIC credentials, and meet COVID‑19 vaccination compliance.

• Close MOCs upon project completion.
• Demonstrate ability to manage multiple activities with strong organizational skills.
• Communicate effectively and work collaboratively in team environments.
• Hold a degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
• Minimum five years of on‑site experience in a chemical, petrochemical, or refinery facility.
• Experience with design, construction, technical reporting, and documentation.
• Registered Louisiana P.E. a plus.
• Meet physical requirements: stand, walk, climb, lift up to 25 lb, and have normal hearing and vision.
• Pass background checks, drug screening, obtain TWIC credentials, and comply with COVID‑19 vaccination requirements.
