Monitor, record and inspect progress on construction projects.
Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for transportation infrastructure, buildings, and facilities
Conduct inspection of site civil and structural field work.
Coordinate field materials sampling and testing, including concrete slump and air testing, casting concrete test cylinders, performing inplace soil compaction testing, asphalt testing, etc.
Receive general supervision from the Senior Inspector who reviews work while in progress

Knowledge of construction inspection of major transportation/infrastructure projects for public agencies, such as PANYNJ, MTA, NJTA, and NJDOT are required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a comparable combination of education and experience.
ACI Concrete Special Inspection and ICC Structural Steel and Bolting certifications
Excellent Organizational and communication skills
PE license in New York or New Jersey
OSHA 30hour training
