As a Field Engineer, you’ll be on site helping to drive project execution, supporting planning, coordination, and quality on complex, large-scale civil and transit infrastructure projects.
Create and issue daily construction reports.
Assist with scheduling and cost estimate preparation.
Attend site meetings, communicate directly with clients, and maintain respectful and professional working relationships.
Provide technical and administrative support throughout all phases of the project.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
Perform basic engineering calculations to support field activities.
Coordinate and respond to technical inquiries from various stakeholders.
Manage general duties such as printing/plotting, transmittal preparation, project tracking, and submitting drawings to clients/contractors.
Work directly on landmark infrastructure projects such as the Surrey–Langley SkyTrain Extension and the Broadway Subway Project.
Develop a thorough understanding of project specifications and budget requirements.
Assist the Quality Management team with performing and documenting QA/QC procedures.

Exposure to self-perform field operations, giving you hands-on experience with real construction means and methods.
RRSP match.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports and technical documentation.
Familiarity with scheduling software and/or estimating is an asset.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
2–3+ years of experience in a Field Engineer, Project Coordinator, or similar site-based role within civil construction.
Registration with EGBC as an EIT (or eligibility to register) is preferred.
Experience working on major infrastructure or transit projects (e.g., SkyTrain, bridgework, roadworks); utilities experience (wet or dry) is a strong asset.
Comfortable working on active construction sites and collaborating closely with field teams.
Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical considered if relevant experience).
