In this position the forester conducts tree and brush identification, inspections, and evaluations along utility corridors, then delivers findings and recommendations to clients. They organize and lead tree‑clearance crews, handle access negotiations, and serve as the primary point of contact among clients, crews, and utility customers. The job involves regular overnight travel throughout the assigned region.

The role suits both entry‑level candidates and seasoned professionals with academic backgrounds in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, environmental studies, conservation or related fields. Foresters will work for a nationwide utility‑service firm dedicated to resilient infrastructure and environmental stewardship.
Applicants must possess either a 2‑ or 4‑year degree in a relevant discipline or a high‑school diploma/GED combined with two years of vegetation management experience; five years of experience can replace the diploma requirement. Preferred qualifications include at least five years of utility vegetation management, solid computer proficiency (Microsoft Office) and familiarity with GIS data collection tools. Candidates should be self‑motivated, organized, production‑oriented, and comfortable working independently while managing a geographic area.
