Join Rolls‑Royce as a Senior Procurement Category Manager in Derby (hybrid). You will lead the Raw Materials and Special Processes category, creating global strategies that improve cost, quality and delivery while building sustainable, long‑term supply chains for the business, its customers and suppliers.
You will be responsible for developing and deploying integrated commodity and category strategies, overseeing strategic sourcing and commercial activities, ensuring contractual coverage, mitigating commercial risk, optimizing commercial advantage, securing supply and managing liability. You will manage senior‑level supplier relationships, create competitive value, and coach your team to strengthen sourcing capabilities.
Key duties include leading complex negotiations, performing cost analysis using total cost or acquisition/product lifecycle models, drafting contracts and business cases, and driving in‑contract supplier performance while reporting KPIs to stakeholders. You will also identify, assess and mitigate commercial risks to maintain continuity and resilience across the supply chain.
We are looking for candidates with a BA degree (or higher) and/or CIP qualifications, proven leadership in direct or indirect procurement within a regulated or complex industry, strong commercial and financial skills, and a track record of senior‑level negotiations. You should understand total cost of acquisition/product lifecycle analytics, contract drafting, category strategy development, strategic sourcing and supplier management, and have a passion to drive change.
