What you would be doing

Provides general support as needed.
Identifies and seeks to fill gaps in engineering knowledge on a continuous basis.
Research and apply Henderson’s design guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures.
Asks questions when performing unfamiliar tasks.
Grocery & Distribution Sector: Designing grocery stores, food markets, and convenience stores with a focus on customer experience. Practices within this sector include Cold Storage, Convenience Store, Distribution Center, and Grocery Store.
Participates in Henderson intern meetings, trainings and activities.
Performs basic calculations and designs engineering systems under the direct supervision of experienced engineers or designers.
Attends production type Henderson training sessions.
Assists in the selection of basic equipment.
Prepares system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.
Contributes to the preparation or modification of reports, plans, and designs for projects.
Venue Sector: Designing environments for large arenas, stadiums, airports, and multi-space venues to enhance performance, amenities, and comfort. Practices within this sector include Aviation, Convention Center, Entertainment, Fitness, and Sports.
Organizes and files project materials and references.
Coordinates with other disciplines

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
Practical experience in building systems engineering preferred
Previous coursework in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks or other Computer-Aided Drafting preferred
Relevant internship experience preferred
Maintains and/or increases knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam Revu
Experience with industry codes and standards preferred
Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in architectural, electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited university
