The experienced BIM Coordinator will support scope development, manage third‑party design consultants and contractors, and ensure project goals are met with respect to BIM. This role provides discipline‑specific knowledge as part of the overall design management team and helps define methods to accomplish client objectives and contract terms.
Key duties include establishing a Common Data Environment, creating and maintaining BIM template files, developing and reporting on BIM Execution and Information Delivery Plans, and overseeing the validation of design deliverables such as models, schedules, and COBie data. The coordinator also supervises clash detection processes, prepares validation reports, and supports quality audits to ensure compliance with standards throughout all project stages.
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or a related technical field, and have 5‑10+ years of BIM experience in the built environment. A broad technical, project management, and business background is required, with professional registration (e.g., AIA, RIBA, CEng, PE, LEED) preferred. Proficiency with BIM authoring, scripting, coordination, and collaboration tools such as Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, BIM 360, and ProjectWise is essential.
