What you would be doing

Maintain, foster and develop client relationships.
Preparing highquality technical reports on studies related to substation design.
Participate in proposal preparation, cost estimates and project management.
Perform studies such as grounding (step and touch), bus force calculation, and lightning protection (rolling sphere or direct angle).
Participate in the overall design of full electrical systems for HV/MV substations, including solar plant, power plant, wind farm, distributed generation, energy storage and microgrid.
Mentor and develop junior staff, promote learning from successes and problems within the group.
Prepare construction drawings for substation such as general arrangement, equipment plans, section views, bill of materials, grounding plans, below grade conduit, raceway plans, and specifications for medium (MV) and highvoltage (HV) electrical systems and equipment
Lead the engineering and design for utility and utilityscale renewable projects.

Experience working and collaborating with clients to achieve agreed goals and results.
Sound understanding of IEEE substation design standards related to physical aspects.
AutoCAD experience is required.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage junior engineers, other technical and support staff.
The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment
Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain license within 6 months of employment is required.
8 years’ experience in the engineering & design of substations and substation layout for power generation, power storage, solar, wind and transmission facilities.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
Experience with power system studies (lightning, auxiliary transformer sizing, grounding) is preferred
