Accounting Manager - 12 month contract

Description

Reporting to the Controller, the Assistant Controller ensures the proper management of accounting practices, conducts financial follow-ups, ensures the reliability of the company’s financial information, and makes sure that adequate financial controls are in place.

• Supervise activities related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and reception;
• Coordinate and prepare the company’s annual budgets and forecasts;
• Coordinate and respond to head office requests;
• Supervise a team of 5 employees;
• Prepare the company’s monthly and quarterly financial statements according to established timelines;
• Maintain and improve internal control procedures;
• Verify payments;
• Monitor tax audits;
• Prepare monthly reports and analyses;

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills;
• Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment (an asset);
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills at all organizational levels;
• Bilingualism (English and French) to ensure effective communication with partners and colleagues located outside Quebec.
• Excellent sense of priorities and respect for deadlines;
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position;
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software within an ERP context;
