Loads, unloads, moves, and places in field and in storeroom, using manually operated lift truck and other light material handling equipment as required: pipe, fittings, tools, materials, supplies and equipment, refuse, excavated material.
Mixes and places pavement bases and surface materials.
Cleans and scrapes surfaces and applies protective coatings, such as: paint, tar, tape, priming material to Mains & Services Department supplies, material, and equipment.
Removes water from trenches, excavations, manholes and 'her work areas by hand pumps and bailing.
Breaks pavement, digs, backfills, tamps trenches or other excavations with hand or pneumatic tools.
Assists in shoring, bracing and bridging excavations.
Shovels snow, cleans walks, curs and trims lawns and grass.
Obtains from storeroom: pipe fitting material, supplies and tools, as directed
Drills holes in concrete, masonry, brick, asphalt, with pneumatic or hand cools; patching same.
