Maintain and troubleshoot Trimble/GPS equipment; coordinate calibration and service as needed.
Supervise and lead the survey team in daily layout operations using Trimble and GPS equipment.
Verify trench and installation depths meet electrical and civil code requirements.
Ensure that all required as built data are captured correctly, meets project requirements, and formatted for future use.
Coordinate with construction managers, superintendents, and foremen to meet project layout needs on schedule.
Plan, assign, and review survey work related to:
Ensure all survey data and as-builts are accurate, documented, and integrated with project models (BIM, CAD, etc.).
Train and mentor survey technicians in the proper use of Trimble GPS equipment, data management, and field verification methods.
Verify that the project control points were captured correctly by others and adequate locations are provided for proper equipment calibrations.

Ensure survey equipment is secured and stored properly along with any necessary maintenance.

Enforce safety practices for survey activities in active construction environments.
Perform quality checks on survey layouts.
Ensure that all survey equipment is updated and operating with the latest firmware.
