- Coordinate designs with other disciplines such as Substation Physical, Structural, and Civil
- Contribute to engineering project scheduling and budget management
- Participation in quality assurance and quality control programs
- Perform the detailed P&C design of medium to extra high voltage utility substations. Typical designs include but are not limited to:
- Work with engineers to develop drawing packages
- The position includes working individually within a team to complete complex and technically challenging aspects of electrical utility substation design and understanding and adhering to client standards.

- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation; experience with both is preferred
- Familiarity with Raster Design and/or Bentley Descartes
- The candidate must have strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel
- Three (3) or more years' experience in utility substation design is preferred
- Ability to produce applicable drawings from rough sketches, notes, client examples, vendor drawings, and such
- Understanding of protection and control design
- Electrical reasoning skills and attention to detail
- Good command of the Microsoft Office suite, with an emphasis on Outlook, Excel and Word
- Candidate must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship
- Protection and control schematics
- Associate's degree or equivalent technical education
- Ability to select materials based on technical requirements
- AC and DC systems calculations and sizing
- Conduit and cable sizing/routing
- Engineering Documentation such as Requests for Information (RFIs), Scope Documents, Equipment Specifications, Protection and Control Descriptions, and Construction Specifications
