In this role you will ensure the smooth operation of a retirement community, managing the building’s safety and security standards while supporting residents to live independently. You will act as the primary point of contact for customers, maintain clean and welcoming communal spaces, and coordinate repairs and maintenance with external contractors. Additionally, you will guide residents to relevant welfare services and assist the sales team in welcoming new occupants.
We are looking for candidates with a passion for delivering excellent customer service and the ability to build relationships with people from varied backgrounds. Knowledge of health and social issues affecting older adults, experience in safeguarding and risk assessment, and the capacity to work collaboratively with partners are essential. Strong administrative abilities for managing budgets, accounts and invoicing, coupled with a self‑starter attitude and the confidence to work independently, are also required.
Working hours are Monday to Friday with some flexibility to adjust your schedule, and you will need to use technology for record‑keeping, online learning and collaboration. An Enhanced DBS check is required, and the costs will be covered by the employer.
The Scheme Manager (Non‑Residential) role is based in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, offering a salary of £24,638 per annum pro‑rated and a suite of benefits. It is a permanent part‑time position (30 hours per week) and does not include a Certificate of Sponsorship.
