The Technical Trainer designs, prepares, and delivers training programs that address employee development needs within gas operations. This includes safety, applications, and other job classifications, while maintaining strong relationships with operations, construction, engineering, and customer teams. The trainer evaluates curricula, ensures regulatory and OSHA compliance, and makes final determinations on employee readiness and progression.

Management of trainees and promotion of a safety‑first culture are integral components.
Technical Trainer 2 expands on these duties by independently delivering more complex courses, supervising the training of Technical Trainer 1 staff, and identifying emerging learning opportunities. The role collaborates with operations management to align training with compliance needs, participates in gas standards reviews, and stays current with industry technology and trends through research and professional development.
